Fotona Laser Lipolysis

Laser lipolysis is a minimally invasive form of aesthetic surgery designed to remove excess body fat. It involves the use of a laser to rapidly dissolve excess fat in target areas such as the thighs, abdomen, arms, neck and parts of the face, using a minor “keyhole” surgical procedure.

How it Works

Gold Standard Aesthetic Technology

  • Fotona's QCW Nd:YAG laser is considered the gold standard in aesthetic surgery, and its application in laser lipolysis has been tested and proven to be safe and effective. Its specific advantages compared to other laser sources include:

  • its relatively low absorption in water

  • the largest directly heated volume of subcutaneous tissue

  • the smallest undesirable thermal effect on neighbouring dermal tissue, and

  • a significantly higher ability to coagulate blood vessels

Safe, Effective, and Minimally Invasive

Fotona's laser lipolysis procedure does not require the use of a general anaesthetic. A very fine laser fibre is inserted into the treatment area, where the laser light causes swelling and rupture of adipocytes. When the fat is melted, it can either be absorbed by the body or removed by the physician.
